My journey learning English at the university

Imagen
Hi guys! how are you? So in this blog, I will talk about my journey learning English at the university and my use of English. I have only studied one semester of English at the University and It has been a good experience but I think that it would have been more enriching and rewarding to have classes face to face, but the pandemic situation didn´t allow it.😢 Blogs had been a good exercise for me because writing is one of my weaknesses in English, and I have been trying to use different words attempting to expand my knowledge, but overall I know that my English is not perfect but I am still learning something new every time I write blogs. I think that my English, in general, is pretty good. I have always tried to improve my English by seeing movies in English with English subtitles, which have helped me to expand my vocabulary and improve my speaking. Or listen to songs that are in English, for example, artists like Doja Cat and WILLOW, and bands like Sexy Pigeon, Roar, and Tame ...

My study programme

Hi everyone! Today I am going to talk about this week's topic, which is "changes that I will do to my study programme". First, to put this into context, I entered the university in 2020 so I have never had face-to-face classes, but that change the second semester of this year, where I have two classes in classrooms, really good classes by the way. So in this second semester of my second year, I was able to recognize some things that I will like to change about some subjects that I have to learn to continue my career (my career is "design" for those who didn't remember it). For my career, I have to know different software, however, I have only had one class about software, and that for me is nuts! Some subjects of this semester are the same as others from the last semester, so those are quite unnecessary and should be replaced for software classes, that would help students to have better knowledge about important things. I don't know the campus well,  and...

Time travel to the future

It is well known that global warming will change the world as we know it, and I think that there are two options for the next 200 years. The first option is the worse possible scenario, and it will happen if society and industries don't do anything about avoiding irreversible damage. In this point of view, the world will be a planet of garbage, it won't be habitable and humans will probably be close to extinction, or maybe extinct. Yes just like the movie wall-e. And the second option is the very best situation, a future where humans can healthily coexist with nature, where there is no over-exploitation of resources, and people can learn how to respect nature and realized that without it humans can't exist. Not only   the relationship between humans and nature (this also includes animals obviously) can improve in the future, but also, the relationship between people, where each individual can be respectful and receive respect. I know that I talk a lot about respect, but it ...

New York

Hello everyone! How are you? Today is a free topic blog so I decided that I want to talk about my family trip to the USA. First, it is important to say that I love traveling, and fortunately, I have been able to travel to lots of countries and one of them has been the USA, I have traveled to Orlando and Miami several times, but New York hits me differently. I went to New York in September of  2019, I went with my father, my mother, and my little brother (He was 15, but for me, he will be always a baby haha), and this was my last trip before the pandemic😢 So I remember seeing youtube blogs about New York, and people always saying "oh you have to be ready for walking, cause you have to walk A LOT in New York, almost 15.000 steps per day". I was so impressed thinking about that and, for that reason, I brought my best sneakers to this trip, but they were not enough. My dad had to buy me a new pair because my feet were destroyed, all because of my sneakers. They were old sneakers...

Animation is wonderful

Hi guys! How are you? Today I'm going to talk a little bit about my career and a topic that I'm interested in. So as the majority of you probably don't know, I'm studying design, I'm currently in the second year of this wonderful career, and I'm fascinated by it! I started to use some software for graphic design in the first year, like illustrator and photoshop. I'm not professional but I continue learning, this semester I have a course that is focused on this kind of software and I'm really happy about that, and I'm learning a lot. My parents bought me an iPad before starting my career, but I did not use it that much until now... I started drawing and doing animation on an app called procreate this last month, so I'm super new on this topic, but I´m looking forward to learning and be able in the future to do beautiful and professional animation. For those who don´t know, animation is a draw that moves and changes respectively... for saying it si...

Hello Helloooooo! How are you guys? Today I'm going to talk to you about my best holiday ever This photo was taken by me:) In the summer of 2017, I went to England, I was there for 3 weeks (not a lot of time) and I went for a study tour but it was like a holiday for been honest. I went with my cousin and two classmates from my school, but we were like 15 Chileans in total, so imagine 15 Chilean teenagers in England just wanting to have a good time and behaving like... teenagers. So not all of this trip was just studying we also went to a lot of cities and villages. We stayed in Canterbury, but we went to Brighton, London, Oxford, and more.  This is me with my friends taking a very special photo in front of Leeds Castle, a beautiful Castle located in Kent. We went for a tour inside de castle and it was... AWESOME! and then there was a maze outside the castle and it was impossible for me to escape from it :(, in fact, I couldn't escape from the maze on my own, my friends and teac...

The Netherlands: The flat land of flowers

Imagen
Hi everyone! today I would like to talk about the Netherlands, a beautiful country where you can find wonderful landscapes, from flowers fields to the beach. There is more to say about this land, so read on to learn more about this amazing country. I don't know if all of you know that in the Netherlands is very common to see people riding bikes, that’s because, unlike Chile, the Netherlands is a flat country. I’m not that good at sports, but for me, it's exciting to just take a bike and go everywhere I want with it, also it would help me to be healthier too haha u.u I love flowers and in the Netherlands you can find lots of them. The Netherlands is the biggest producer of flowers in the entire world! They produce 1.7 billion cot flowers per year, which represents roughly 60% of global trade. The Keukenhof it’s the world’s largest flower park, and it is located near Amsterdam, but Keukenhof’s flower gardens are only open for two months in spring from the end of March to mid-Ma...
